Be a BEE

This post is not for everyone. It’s important for you to take this back to the Lord and confirm with Him that this is for you. Not every word is meant to be applied to your life in the immediate moment. If you are receiving this in season it should not be the first time you are hearing about it. If the Lord has not been speaking to you about this already, take the wisdom and knowledge as a form of learning the ways of the Lord that you might choose to walk in them. If this is for you it should serve as confirmation and give you understanding. Glory be to God!

Okay so before I give you what the Lord gave me, I am going to give you Bible about it. I encourage you to go and study deeper for yourself and will always provide biblical representation of any word the Lord has given me to help you understand WHY it is so important to combine what the Lord is speaking to you about with the Word of God to complete and confirm. This Word is going to be specifically about the correlation between bees, and the prophetess Deborah in the Bible. You can find her in Judges chapter 4. Read about her character— consider what she was called to do and what she must have witnessed to carry out her call. She was not in a pretty place being a girly girl— she was a prophetic leader in the spiritual realm and present in the midst of war. The bee references I will be speaking about are from Judges 14 where Samson finds bees and honey in the dead body of a lion he killed, and Isaiah 7 where the Lord says through the prophet Isaiah that when Jesus is born and starts building his discernment and wisdom, the enemy land will turn desolate and he will whistle for flies and bees to swarm the land. Let those with ears to hear, hear & if this is for you— there is victory in the Lord. Let’s get into it.

I woke up this morning and there were bees on my brain. I thought about how the bees serve one queen and how they each have their own job in the hive. How they are born and grow from infancy to adulthood with a purpose that serves an entire colony. When I wake up with random thoughts like this, I know that it’s the Lord dropping something in my spirit. I went to my 5am workout class and couldn’t get it off my mind which reassured me that I should probably look in to it. When I got home I spent some time researching the life of bees— having no idea where this was going. I explain this to you because I think it’s important for you guys to understand the effort that goes in to truly hearing what God is trying to say. I did nothing to receive it but I put in effort to cultivate it. Anyway, moving right along.

Worker bees work hard. They work in unison as a colony to complete large tasks and they all serve under one queen. They can be seen as dangerous when provoked, defending their territory and they operate in wisdom in a way that they extract pollen from a flower without doing any damage. They understand their assignment and they are gentle to care about the way it affects the vulnerable, delicate and beautiful flower. God really does consider the lilies doesn’t He?

There are many roles in a hive— and I started to wonder what a bee does to be given its role. I found that as a bee matures there are hormones that are released that activate different genes, which tell the bee what to do next. Environmental circumstances can also influence an assigned role but overall they naturally evolve into their positions. The assigning of roles is fluid and is always based on the immediate needs of the colony. Does this remind you of anything? Can you see how this can be a reflection of how we, as Christians, receive our positions in the body? I thought that was all that the Lord was showing me. I loved to make that connection but then He took me deeper.

I have never looked up words in the Hebrew. The Holy Spirit really will lead you to the things He wants you to find. The Lord said there would be a sign when the virgin birthed a son called Immanuel. He said when that happened and before He was old enough to choose what is right and wrong, there would be destruction brought on to Judah. He prophesied through Isaiah a time where nation would be destroyed by the Lord and His people would be broken down and a remnant would remain. Isaiah 7:18-19, “and it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall whistle to the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, & for the bee that is in the land of Assyria. They will come, and all of them will rest in the desolate valleys and in the clefts of the rocks, and on all thorns and in all pastures.” Now flies come and break down the dead things so this makes sense for them to come and clean up the debris of the destruction but what do bees do? It is in their nature to pollenate and bring beauty to a place by their works. The word bee, D’vo•ra in the Hebrew shows up in another place representing another word. You can find it in Judges 4. Deborah. Deborah, like a bee, spoke encouraging words to a man in warfare to guide him through for the purpose of the Lord. She was honest and spoke truthfully, and she accompanied him in a season of the Lord bringing desolation in one place, for the purpose of allowing His people to take the land. The Judges 4 woman, was also a Proverbs 31 woman but that’s a word for another day.

When God is breaking down structures that were built on foundations of idolotry like bloodline curses rooted in sin, He will call for a “bee” to come and settle in the land. They come to rest in the very place that was just destroyed. He will make the land uninhabitable for the enemy but opportune for the bees. The same way Samson killed the lion that attacked him and later found bees and their honey living in the body; God will bring death and destruction to a predator or an enemy to give life to His people by the wisdom that is received in those places. He experienced the attack, made it past the enemy and then as he walked back through He stopped to observe the carcass and a bee colony had started life in that place. Where the enemies are defeated the Lords people will build and produce in that land. THIS is a wealth transfer. He calls a Deborah to that place. The call of Deborah is a prophetess that is not only a messenger of the Lord but she leads in warfare confidently. The environment wont be pretty but like the bee she will have been naturally trained in her spirit as she gained maturity in CHRIST and assigned to stand in the face of the enemy. She watches nations be defeated not by power, or might but at the hands of a woman— and the SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD. She was mature in her gifts and unafraid. Did you know that bees aren’t called for work outside of their hives until they have worked half of their adult lives within the hive? This is why we go through a training of our gifts before the Lord would call us to use them in assignments outside of a controlled environment. We grow into a maturity that allows us to be called out to delicate and vulnerable places, in a way that wouldn’t damage the people we are called to encourage. There is a gentleness that is required.

When the Lord is breaking down generational strongholds and altars built in wicked nations and He calls you to stand in the midst of warfare, it is because the seeds you will plant in the territory that once belonged to the enemy will bare fruit for the Kingdom of Heaven. This is why women called to lead in spiritual warfare while operating gently and speaking with kindness in the physical. It is not for selfish gain or to be recognized, but like a bee naturally evolves into its role; we are assigned based on the immediate need of the colony. When you are assigned to build in a place that is falling apart, keep building. Let the Lord be the Lord. Stay standing. Surrender to your process. BECOME the Deborah that the Lord can call to at the appointed time. Your focus should be on your journey at the feet of Jesus. Just like the bee can’t be called out of the hive until it’s worked inside of it for a time, we can’t be called to position until we’ve reached a level of maturity that we won’t be a liability in sensitive situations. This is why we train. This is why we take authority over our mind, emotions and reactions. Obedience in uncomfortable situations can be considered a skill. To empty yourself out and allow the Holy Spirit fill you for the purpose of the Lord at times your flesh wants to be brash and fierce is an act of service. While the illusions that were built on faulty foundations are being broken down— train your spirit. He did not whistle for the larvae, He whistled for a bee. He did not whistle for a baby, He whistled for a D’vo•ra — “Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.” Romans 12:3 reminds us to be realistic in how we claim to be. God determines our level of maturity. Remember the gentleness of the bee, it was wise not to cause damage to the flower. Do not get so caught up in the prophecy that you neglect the process. Our character is built according to His purpose. Let Him lead you.

  • The LTASH training course has been created by the leading of the Holy Spirit for those called and chosen for position looking for mentorship through a sanctification process that helps bring understanding and strategy when stepping in to the prophetic realm and receiving the anointing on your life.
